My name is Shelley Xie, born and raised inChina, now live inMichigan,USA. Besides my full time job in automobile industry, creating art is my hobby, creating creative art is my passion. Over the years, I open my eyes for all kinds of media and techniques to seek the special kind that my mind and heart would claim home. As you can tell from my art gallery, pressed flower art technique, which creates art collage from pressed real nature found flower petals, leaves, provides me endless of possibilities to revive the lives that mother nature creates. It is a very interesing and tedious creating process to watch how it starts with a seed, growing, blooming, pressing, every lifeless leave/petal starts to take shape, it is a process of recreating exciting lives. what a circle of life! Some complex designs took me months to make. 4 season series, spring shower, summer paradise, autumn harvest, winter wonder, took me 7 months to make from start to finish Digital Art is another arena that I am very interested in. unfortunately, I am not able to dive into it, for giving spare time that I have. I am looking for inspiration everywhere, I often challenge myself to create art that conveys ideas with mind work, which I believe is what will last. What I have included in this site are only small portion of my art designs, if you would like to see more of my designs in better clarity, looking for sizes other than listed here, please go to my website "www.artbyshelleyxie.com" I also preserve wedding bridal bouquet and pressed flower gifts for all occasions, detail can be found at my website. Thank you for stopping by, feel free to drop me a note. Enjoy your visit here.
