Fine watercolour art by UK artist Mike Dermody ENGLAND

At present my collection is not very large, however, it is updated as soon as new paintings are ready. I do not specialize in any particular subject and will paint anything that takes my fancy. Though I painted in oils many years ago, my medium now is mainly watercolour and occasional pen and ink.

I was born 1941 in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, UK and have always been keen on art from an early age. I passed a scholarship at the age of 12 yrs to go to the Nottingham School of Art but decided by the age of 15 not to make it my career. Instead I entered the engineering profession, studied electronics and became a design engineer with a local company. In September 2000 I retired early due to ill health. It was the ideal time for me to take up my passion again and so joined the Arnold Art Society the same year.
