Iz Maglow was born in Karlsruhe (Germany) in 1955 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1978 to 1984. Since 1993 he lives and paints in Bali (Indonesia). He has taken part in numerous national and international exhibitions and been commissioned by the Chamber Opera, Frankfurt / Main, on many occasions to create stage-designs for operas.
