Glenn Zlanabitnig Artist Painter
I’ve been involved with the visual arts all my life. Creating images is something that just seemed to come naturally to me.
Over the years I’ve tried many varied mediums, though until recent years, the bulk of my commissioned works have been in oils.
I must say that I like the richness of the colors and many of my clients have felt that there is a certain prestige attached to oil on canvas.
More recently I’ve become involved experimental and computer generated art as well.
Most of my works are commissions, though I have sold many paintings that I’d painted just for myself, such as dreams that I had experienced, inspired ideas, etc.
Although I’m known as an historical specialist, I am able to tackle virtually any subject, as an international commissioned artist I have to be pretty diverse.
My style is generally realist, as I’m inclined to approach a painting like making a movie. To paint it you have to live it so that the experience is as real to the onlooker as it is to the artist.
Every picture tells a story, every painting has a life.

Bio by art representatives ARTREPS (www,artrepsart.com)
A lifelong artist, literally drawing before he could walk, Glenn Zlanabitnig had already been selling his artwork before reaching high school. By the time he got to the University of Southampton, England, Glenn was running his own art business, accepting commissions, exhibiting in local shows and competitions, and teaching art.
Born inSouthern Englandin a village between the sea and the forest inspired Glenn in his artistic life to portray the magnificent land- and seascapes of the region. Preferring to work in oils, Glenn's style is that of realist, occasionally verging on the surreal, often with historical overtones. While a background as a commissioned artist allowed Glenn to develop the ability to work with a wide range of subjects and themes, world travels compelled him to render images beyond theUK, of European and American vistas, representations of historic battles, as well as portraiture. The amalgamation has contributed to the creation of a diverse and eclectic portfolio.
These days, Glenn's focus tends toward the American Southwest, embracing the majestic region with enthusiasm. His work is shown in galleries fromHampshire,UKtoBeverly HillsCA, and is much in demand with frequent invitation to exhibit across the globe.
