Gábor Kis Budapesten született 1949-ben. Gyermekkori, egyik kedvenc időtöltése a színes ceruzákkal, mesekönyvek illusztrációinak a másolása,
később saját álmok, elképzelések megrajzolása. Idővel a vízfesték foglalkoztatta.
Töretlen kedvel festegetett az iskolás éveiben is. 1967-től ofszet gépmester az Állami Nyomdában.
Szabadidejében rajzolt, festett mindig csak azt a témát, ami megragadta. Portrék, tájképek. 2007-ben kezdett "komolyabban" a festés felé fordulni.
Tempera képeket alkotott kezdetben kartonra, majd a mai napig is farost lemezre.
Az elkészült képeket lakkozza, keretezi. Autodidakta módon képezte magát. Első nyilvános bemutatkozása, a " Kép a Falon" c. festőoldalon volt.
A Telki Pipacs Galériában volt csoportos kiállítása. Jelenleg is alkot, örömmel teszi, vallja, mert „jó érzés a társaknak is örömöt szerezni”.

Gábor Kis, a self-taught artist was born in Budapest in 1949. As a child, one of his favorite pastimes was copying illustrations from storybooks with colored pencils,
later drawing his own dreams and ideas. Over time, he became interested in watercolor. He loved to paint even in his school years. From 1967,
he worked at the State Printing Office. In his spare time, he drew and painted only the subjects that caught his eyes. Portraits, landscapes.
In 2007, he began to turn more "seriously" towards painting. Initially, he created tempera pictures on cardboard, and then on wooden boards to this day.
The finished paintings he varnishes and frames. His first public presentation, was on "Picture on the Wall". painting site.
He had a group exhibition at the Telki Pipacs Gallery. He is still creating, he does it with pleasure,
he confesses because: "it's a good feeling to make your friends happy too".
